What is Larvikite?

Larvikite is an igneous rock from around Larvik in southern Norway, made largely of feldspar crystals that show a silvery-blue schiller similar to labradorite. It is Norway's national rock and, polished, it decorates buildings worldwide as "blue pearl granite". Smaller pieces are made into beads and palm stones.

  • Open a window, then light a white sage or palo santo stick and let it smoulder.
  • Gently waft the smoke around your crystal and through the room, corners first.
  • Light a white candle and place your crystal beside it while you set a simple intention, such as "This space is calm and protected".
  • Finish with frankincense or dragon's blood incense and let it burn down safely.

Safety: never leave candles, incense or smudge sticks burning unattended, keep them away from children, pets and anything flammable, and ventilate the room. Rituals are shared as tradition, not as a treatment.
