What is Moss Agate?

Moss agate is chalcedony containing green, branching inclusions of minerals such as chlorite or iron and manganese oxides, which look like moss or tiny landscapes. Because it lacks banding, it isn't technically an agate – the name is traditional. Most moss agate comes from India.
