What is Hemimorphite?

Hemimorphite is a zinc silicate that often forms bubbly, botryoidal crusts in sky blue, coloured by traces of copper. Its name comes from the Greek for "half form", because its crystals have differently shaped ends. Striking blue material comes from Yunnan in China and from Mexico.
